Will Armstrong, Historian / Research Professional

Will Armstrong is a professional public historian who has used his extensive knowledge of historical research methods and project management skills for Law Firms and Fortune 500 clients involved in high-stakes toxic tort and environmental litigation. Will has also developed historical exhibit content for corporate and museum clientele, and has penned three books about his historical passion – 20th century American military history. Prior to joining Taylor Research Group, Will was a Historian at a history, archives, and museum company for over a decade.

  • Multiple research projects involving federal, state, and local records to document potential sources of waterway and/or groundwater contamination from PCBs, TCE, and other substances, in the vicinity of historical military, military-industrial, and industrial sites across multiple states. (Client: Various Law Firms and Fortune 500 Companies)

  • Targeted federal, state, and local records review to document historical PFAS usage and disposal at military facilities within the United States (Client: U.S. Government)

  • Research projects to document the history of former military installations across multiple states and representing all service branches in support of the Defense Environmental Restoration Program – Formerly Used Defense Sites (DERP-FUDS) (Client: Environmental Firms under contract to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers)

  • Research project to document the history of a former industrial site and its contracts with the Atomic Energy Commission in support of the Formerly Used Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) (Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers)

  • Extensive research to document corporate succession and property ownership/operation history for over 150 companies within a watershed area. Client: Law Firm and Fortune 500 Company

  • Research projects to document the production of munitions, aerospace craft, and strategic materials on behalf of the U.S. Government, including detailed investigations of both government-owned and contractor-owned industrial sites (Clients: Law Firms and Fortune 500 Companies)
